Georgette is a sheer, light weight fabric which creates from Highly Twisted Yarns. Georgette is made in solid colors and prints and is used for blouses, dresses, evening gowns, saris, and trimmings. It is springier and less lustrous than the closely related chiffon. It is the perfect fabric for sarees because of its body hugging yet flowing drape and is often utilized to make the more modern, daring saree styles.
