Fabric Care & No Guarantee Disclaimer

Fabric Care & No Guarantee Disclaimer

Important: Please Read Before Purchase

Our fabrics are handcrafted by skilled artisans and made from natural materials. We cannot guarantee how they'll perform after you receive them, as this depends entirely on how you use, wash, and care for them.

What This Means

We do not provide a warranty on:

  • How long the fabric will last
  • Whether colors will fade
  • Whether the fabric will shrink
  • Whether seams will hold
  • Whether embellishments will stay in place
  • How soft or stiff the fabric feels

Why? Because textiles behave differently based on:

  • How often you wear or use them
  • How you wash them (temperature, detergent, machine vs. hand)
  • How you iron or dry them
  • Your climate and storage conditions
  • How carefully you handle them

Natural Variations (Not Defects)

Because our fabrics are handwoven and hand-embroidered, small differences are normal:

  • Color shade varies by 1–2 tones from the photo
  • Print placement may shift slightly
  • Weave texture isn't perfectly uniform (that's handcraft)
  • Embroidery spacing may vary slightly

These are signs of authenticity, not defects. Each fabric is unique because it's made by hand.

What Our Photos Show

  • Photos are taken in natural daylight
  • Your phone/computer screen displays colors differently
  • Lighting in your home will look different from our studio
  • Fabric sheen and texture may appear different in person

So if the color looks slightly different when it arrives, that's normal and expected.

Normal Fabric Changes (Not Covered)

Color Fading: Natural fading occurs with wear and washing, especially darker shades. This is normal textile aging, not a defect.

Shrinkage: Cotton, linen, and handlooms naturally shrink 2–5% even with proper care. Always check fiber content before stitching.

Softening or Stiffening: New fabrics change feel as worn and washed. Handlooms soften after washes. Some may stiffenβ€”this is normal.

Embellishment Wear: Zari, sequins, beads, mirrors naturally wear with friction. After 15–20 wears, loosening is expected. Not a defect.

Print Quality Changes: Digital prints may fade slightly with washing. This is expected, not a defect.

Damage from Improper Care (Not Covered)

We cannot refund or replace fabric damaged by:

Washing Issues: Machine washing delicate fabrics, bleach, harsh detergents, hot water, extended soaking, washing with incorrect colors

Ironing Issues: High heat on silk/organza/polyester/embellished fabrics, ironing directly over sequins/beads/zari, not using pressing cloth

Storage Issues: Damp/hot/pest-prone areas, direct sunlight, improper storage (crushed, folded)

What We Stand Behind

While we don't guarantee long-term performance, we do stand behind our quality:

  • Manufacturing quality β€” Fabrics inspected before shipping
  • Fiber content accuracy β€” What we say it is, it is
  • Honest descriptions β€” No hidden surprises
  • Craftsmanship β€” Handmade with care and skill

If you receive a fabric with manufacturing defect (holes, tears, stitching errors, weak embellishments), that's on us, and we'll make it right.

Care Recommendations
