Premium Dyeable Mono Net Fabric Plain | 100% Dyeable Nylon Net | 42 Inch Width
About This Fabric
M'Foks Premium Dyeable Mono Net is a fine plain nylon net fabric built for one purpose — to take your colour and hold it. Sold in its natural off-white state, it accepts acid dyes and nylon-compatible dye systems evenly across the full 42-inch width, giving you complete control over the final shade.
The mono construction uses single-strand nylon thread, which produces a cleaner, more uniform mesh than multi-thread net fabrics. The surface is soft and non-scratchy — comfortable against skin as a top layer, a dupatta, or a sheer garment panel. At approximately 25 grams per metre, the drape is light and airy without losing structure.
Allow for approximately 5% shrinkage post-dyeing and cut your pieces with that margin. Pre-wash in warm water before dyeing or stitching to remove factory sizing and let the fabric settle to its natural dimensions.

Common Questions
What is this fabric best used for?
Saree overlays and borders, dupattas, sheer panels in kurtis and anarkalis, lehenga net layers, and as an embroidery or embellishment base for fashion designing.
Can I use this for a full saree?
Yes. Use it as a sheer overlay over your base fabric, or cut border panels and pallu sections. Dye it to match or contrast your base saree before stitching.
Is it suitable for dupatta stitching?
Yes. A 2.5m cut gives you a standard dupatta length. Dye to your required colour, finish the edges, and add embroidery or sequin work after dyeing.
Can I embroider or print on this fabric?
Yes. The uniform mono mesh provides a clean, consistent base for hand embroidery, machine embroidery, and block or screen printing — preferably after dyeing.
Is it comfortable to wear next to the skin?
Yes. The soft nylon mono net texture is non-scratchy. It works as a kurta yoke, sleeve panel, or top layer without irritation.
How much fabric do I need for a dupatta?
2.5 metres is standard for a dupatta. For a saree overlay, 5–6 metres. For a kurta sheer panel (yoke + sleeves), 1–1.5 metres depending on your design.
Dyeing & Care
Dyeing Steps
-
1Pre-wash
Hand wash the fabric in warm water before dyeing. Dry flat. This removes factory sizing and ensures even dye penetration.
-
2Prepare dye
Use acid dye or a nylon-compatible dye system (e.g. Rit, Tulip, Jacquard). Dissolve the dye fully in hot water (80–90°C recommended for acid dyes). Do not use reactive (cotton) dyes — they will not bond with nylon.
-
3Dye bath
Submerge the fabric fully. Stir continuously for even, consistent colour uptake across the mesh.
-
4Shrinkage
Expect approximately 5% shrinkage after dyeing. Cut your pieces slightly larger than your final measurements before dyeing.
-
5Rinse & dry
Rinse in cool water until the water runs clear. Lay flat in shade to dry. Do not wring or twist.
Care After Dyeing
-
•Washing
Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Do not machine wash.
-
•Drying
Lay flat in shade. Do not tumble dry or wring.
-
•Ironing
Low heat on synthetic setting only. Do not use high heat — nylon will distort.
-
•Storage
Fold loosely and store away from direct sunlight to preserve dye vibrancy.
⚠ Use acid dyes or nylon-compatible dye systems only. Reactive (cotton) dyes will not bond with nylon fabric.
